Once the MyRide app is downloaded on their phone, riders can easily find the nearest bus stops through geolocation. By simply tapping the screen, riders can view estimated departure times for the next buses and the routes that serve these stops.

MyRide offers real-time GPS-based information for all available bus options by selecting favorite locations or routes or by entering a starting point and destination. This feature facilitates efficient travel planning. The interactive map powered by Google enables riders to track the location, estimated departure time, and passenger load of the selected bus.

Riders can conveniently manage their subscriptions through their customer account and opt to receive text messages, emails, or push notifications containing accurate bus departure information. They have the flexibility to choose one-time or recurring notifications for specific routes, days, and times. Additionally, the system identifies detoured routes and temporary stops to keep riders informed.

CityBus is committed to providing comprehensive information to riders. They can publish news stories about weather conditions, detours, community events, or share route-specific or general news. Adding pictures or video content further enhances riders' experience.

Riders without data plans can also access real-time information by texting a designated phone number. By inputting their stop number, they receive automatic return information with estimated departure times for the next buses.
